These days, the convenience store at the Tendo station closes early. They open at 7 in the morning and close at 6 in the evening. It is NOT a convenience store.
But they show the poster for a parttime job in the store. Perhaps they will open till 10 at night in the future.
I hope that they will open till 11 at night, as the last train arrives at the Tendo station at that time.
Dec. 24 (Wed.) It's non White Christmas Eve today.
It is Christmas Eve today! But there is little snow!!
It is a bad feeling not to have snow even though much snow creates traffic jams...
The main street between the Tendo station and the area of Tendo spas has been lit up. But only a few people walk...
Dec. 22 (Mon.) It's warm this winter.
We have little snow this winter. They have a hard time at many ski grounds in Yamagata Prefecture. Then there is no snow at the "Tendo Kogen Ski Ground" ( Ski Ground at the Tendo heights ) .
We could perform the opening ceremony on December 20. Now, they have just 5cm snow today !
But it snowed today. Perhaps we can ski tomorrow ?
Dec. 19 (Fri.) Go skiing!
These days we had no snow around our house. It made all roads dry and studless tires for my car wore down.
But there are already much snow at the Tendo Kougen Ski field!! They are running a ski lift.
They have the opening ceremony on December 20. At that day we can take a ski lift for free.
Dec. 4 (Thu.) after snowing ...
We had much snow first time this winter.
It stopped snowing this day. But instead of snowing, it became cold ! The road became like a mirror !!
On the route 13, they had bad traffic jam because of an traffic accident and icy roads.
It was also cold next morning. So I went to my office by car at below 30km/h (about 18miles/h).
Dec. 2 (Tue.) It's first snow
Finally it snow today !
It snowed from this morning, at about 9:00 a.m.
The mountains around Tendo were coloured pure white from the top of the mountains like sugar.
It made the roads only wet. But at evening, it snowed aggain ...
I have not changed tires on my car. I have to change tires tomorrow.
By the way in Tendo, we have least amound of snow fall in Yamagata Prefecture.
