Jan. 13 (Tue.) 11 professional craftmen for Japanese chess

The pieces of Japanese chess in Tendo became one of the traditional goods in April 8, 1996. And the end of last year, they decided 11 craftmans "Craftmen for traditional goods".
It means that we recognize them rofessional craftmen for traditional goods.

Jan. 11 (Sun.) Comming soon "Heisei Nabe Gassen"

We have the event "Heisei Nabe Gassen" on January 15.
These days many newspapers, radio programes and TV programes not only in Yamagata Prefecture but also in Tokyo broadcast news of this event.
Last year over 10,000 people visited to eat pot foods. And this year, over 20,000 people may come.

After winter vacation, we have a lot of snow ! We have not had snow since the middle of December.

It makes it difficult to go to our office !! It takes a lot of time to get there. We have to drive at 30 km/h on the road, on which we usually drive at 60 km/h. And after work, it is hard to drop snow from our car.

Now in the middle of winter, one person sell cherries.

They are special cherries which have bred in warm and shiny plastic greenhouse. In the plastic greenhouse, all cherries has been faked into thinking that the spring has come. It is difficult to bread because the cherry is a tree. So many writers went there.

But only one cherry costs over 2,000 yen !! In summer, we can buy a box of cherries for the same price. Ordinary people can not buy. They say that all the boxes of cherries are sent to Tokyo.

It is January 2 today. There are many meetings to see and drink with their old friends.

Then we had many many traffic accidents. I saw 2 traffic accidents twice when I went to the post office to send New Year Cards.

Many students and workers who live in other countries drive around. And many young people drive and chat to their friends in the car. So it makes them careless, I think.

We have no snow today. But with more snow, we will have more traffic accidents.
