Area: 113.01Km2 (smallest city in Yamagata Prefecture) east and west: 18.4Km south and north: 10.6Km # Tendo is located at the center of "Murayama" basin in Yamagata pref. East: bordered on Sendai city, Miyagi pref. with the mountain chain "Ou sanmyaku" West: borderd on Sagae city with the river "Mogami gawa" South: bordered on Yamagata city with the river "Tachiya gawa" North: borderd on Higashine city with the river "Midare gawa"
