Dec. 6 (Sun.) New Year card of "Yamagata Shinkansen"

A few month ago, Tendo city office, they made postcards for the tourism PR as the 40th anniversary of Tendo city.

And this time, they made the New Year card for PR of the bullet train "Yamagata Shinkansen". The "Yamagata Shinkansen" reachs at Yamagata City from Tokyo until now. And then it will reach at Shinjou City, the north of Yamagata Prefecture, on Dec. 1999. There are 2 types of postcards. One is printed PR comments on the upper side and another is pictured the "Yamagata Shinkansen".

Dec. 4 (Fri.) New flower hat dance

We have many summer festivals "Bon Odori" everywhere in Japan. At the "Bon Odori" we perform outdoors local traditional dance of each area. And we dance "Hanagasa Odori" (flower hat dance) in Yamagata Prefecture. This year they create new "Hanagasa Odori" for men. There are 2 different things. At first it is more acitive than present version. And next we use larger hat painted green, we use red hat still now. Perhaps we can see this new dance at the summer festival in Tendo.

Dec. 3 (Thu.) Negotiator to the prime minister

Many "Okami" (landladies) in Yamagata Prefecture went to the prime minister and the Ministry of Construction. The Ministry of Construction constructs new highway in Yamagata prefecture. We hope that many tourists come to Yamagata prefecture. Landladies negotiate to built it as early as possible.

Dec. 2 (Wed.) New deputy mayor

Mr.Souji FUKAYAMA, the last deputy mayor in Tendo City, was died on November 12 suddenly. We have new deputy mayor, Mr.Sadao TAKEDA. He is the Construction manager in city office. He hold a post concurrently.

Dec. 1 (Tue.) big lottery

It is the day to start to sell public lottery in the end of the year today. Many people before going thier office made a line in front of the store. It is regular scene in Dec. So I realized the end of this year.
