June 21 (Sun.) Traffic jams for cherries
(the highest temperature 22.8C / the lowest temperature 13.5C / weather - cloudy)

Every year, we have many traffic jams in Yamagata Prefecture.

It is

because of cherry !!

Many people, especially

people in other Prefectures

come to pick up cherries.

Around the Route 48 from Tendo city to Sendai city in Miyagi Prefecture and the Yamagata Highway, many cars run through all day long.

June 19 (Fri.)
(the highest temperature 24.9C / the lowest temperature 17.2C / weather - cloudy)

June 18 (Thu.) New Meijin of Professional Shogi
(the highest temperature 29.8C / the lowest temperature 15.9C / weather - fine)

The present Meijin,

Mr. Kouji TANIGAWA

and

Mr. Yasumitsu SATOH

with 8th Dan grade compete for the title Meijin.

The title of Meijin is

the top of the titles

for professional Shogi (Japanese chess) players.

This time Mr. Yasumitsu SATOH get the title.

He is under 30 years old, very young.

June 17 (Wed.) Development of Kuwanomachi
(the highest temperature 26.6C / the lowest temperature 16.6C / weather - fine)

One of the area of development plan,

Kuwanomachi

is located in the south of Tendo spa.

There are many problems about the area, but the

development will start next year

In the area,

the museum of music box

and

the beer restaurant

are decided to construct at least.

And they have some plans about the hall for Shogi (Japanese chess), public spa etc.
