Yamagata Prefecture and each city cooperate with each other and promote to raise the rate of passanger about the flight between Yamagata and Tokyo. We can receive various services when we show the boarding pass of Yamagata-Tokyo flight. They hold the event "Hina no Mich" from the endo of Feb. At the event, they display the Japanese "HINA" dolls for the Girls' Festival. At the "Yamadera Bashou commemoration palace", the admission fee becomes free when we show the boarding pass of Yamagata-Tokyo flight at the front desk.

In Tendo, 10 minutes from Yamagata airport by car, what kind of campaign activities do they do ?

Mr.Koujirou SATO, Yamagata mayor expresses that they will have a conference with mayors of autonomies around Yamagata city at the press conference. They will have a mayor election in Nakayama town near. Mr.SATO wants to have a meeting as soon as the election of Nakayama town finished. Like this, Yamagata mayor is very positive attitude toward the wide area merger. But there is no movement in other autonomies, including Tendo City, etc. How do the general ciizen in Yamagata City think ?

Mr.NAGATA, previous mayor in Kaminoyama City, was very positive toward the wide area merger like Mr.SATO, Yamagata Mayor. Mr.SATO said that new Kamiynoyama mayor has also necessary to merge. However, in other cities and town ...?

Feb. 16 (Tue.) Continue of flight to Tokyo (the highest 9.4C /the lowest -5.9C /weather - cloudy)

About the stop of flight from Yamagata to Tokyo, the airplane company ANA(All Nippon Airline) show that they will continue to flight until this December. The ANA, who navigated Yamagata-Tokyo flight, would stop the plane because they are deficit. Yamagata prefectural goverment and many organizations pdtitioned ANA not to stop flight. So they showed to continue 2 flights per a day until this May. And this time, members of the Diet elected in Yamagata prefecture took a circumstance explanation from the ANA. ANA modified the schedule from June to December, they fly 1 flight per a day.

But, there is a problem "until December". I think it seems they will stop after December when the Yamagata Shinkansen(bullet express) open in Shinjou City. And they said that they cannnot dissolve deficit structurally. That means... the more they fly, the more they become deficit !

Feb. 15 (Mon.) Toward the protmotion of the traffic safety (the highest 3.2C /the lowest -6.4C /weather - cloudy)

They hoold a traffic problem reserch committee at the Tendo police station. These days they built new roads in the central Tendo and the traffic accident also increased. Therefore inhabitants request to install traffic signals newly and set up speed regulations. Those requests were discussed in last conference, and it is said that all requests were agreed officially.

And the Yamagata branch office of the Ministry of Construction have a schedule to extend the time of the turning right lane of Route 13 south slant line to go to "Shopping center Lala park Tendo" where a traffic jam has been pointed out since.
