Apr.11 (Sun.) Decided the queen of Miss shogi (the highest 16.2C /the lowest 7.0C /weather - rain)

"The queen contest of Miss shogi" is held every year in April. Though a contest is held by non-opening to the public, an announcement is regarded in the event "Ningen Shogi"(Human Japanese Chess Game) held in April 24(Sat.) and 25(Sun.). The queen of this year chosen from the 16 women are below.

The Yamagata statistics office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, they examined about the fruit in Yamagata Prefecture to the big city bloc in Japan. As that result, about 100% of the people have eaten a cherry. But, about 60% of the people had never eaten "La France", a kind of the pear. Especially, there were many answers of "What is La France, on earth ?" in Kyusyu district and Hokkaido.

"La France" is a kind of pair called "the queen of the fruit". It has inferior looks than a common pear because it is uneven. But, the water of the La France is abundant, and it is really more delicious fruit than a common pear. Tendo City is proud of No.1 in the amount of production of the La France in Japan. It is important to advertise it in the whole of Yamagata Prefecture. But I think that administration and a produce, they have to advertise it.

Apr. 6 (Tue.) Mistery of the Takeda Ningyou (the highest 8.2C /the lowest 2.8C /weather - cloudy)

"The exhibition of Hina dolls in Tendo" finished on April 4(Sunday). 4,253 people came in the exhibition for a month. It is a big hit exhibition. This year they borrowed Japanese Hina dolls(displayed for the Girl's Festival) from more old families than last year, they displayed 25 sets in total. And "the mystery of the Takeda Ningyou" appeared. They found out a lot of "Takeda Ningyou" when they turned around the old family for that exhibition.

There are many kinds of Japanese Hina dolls, the Kyouhoubina, the Kokinbina, etc. The "Takea Ningyou" is known as a thing to inherit the world of Osaka Kabuki. Therefore, it was a slight mystery whether a lot of "Takeda Ningyou" existed in Tendo which left from Osaka far away. So, when ancient documents were examined, it knew the people of the Kitame area in Tendo city to ask the troupe of Osaka Kabuki to come to Tendo no less than twice. An old-fashioned thing isn't left in Tendo because many houses was burned out at "Boshin" war in 18C. We really wants to treasure such small property.

Apr. 5 (Mon.) PR Effect of the Tokyo flight (the highest 17.7C /the lowest 2.3C /weather - cloudy)

Yamagata Prefecture announced that passengers of the flight between Tokyo and Yamagata have increased rapidly after the abolition problem appeared last December.It seems that the result of promotion campaign which each self-governing body hold appeared. Especially the boarding rate of 76.7% recorded on March. This is the best rate after December, 1997(the 9th year of Heisei) when the number of the flight between Tokyo and Yamagata became 2 flights per a day.

But, no matter how much the best record comes out, it is still a past story. There is no difference in becoming only 1 flight per a day from this June. Administration, mass communication and a general citizen must do all best with cooperation.
